Gospel of Luke
September 14 - September 18
Fall Mini Semester, 2o2o
Sometimes called “the Gospel of Amazement,” Luke stands out among the four Gospels for its attention to historical detail, its literary refinement, and its comprehensiveness as an “orderly account … of the things that have been fulfilled among us” (Lk 1:1-4). This course will lead students through a careful reading of the Third Gospel, exploring the specific theological, spiritual, and literary concerns that make it unique. Readings, assignments, and course material are designed to help students engage deeply with Luke’s portrait of Jesus as a radical disturber of the status quo, and his compelling message that in him, the Kingdom of God has indeed drawn near.
Course Taken for Credit…..$597.00
